Mrs. Jennie Blake Funeral Rites Held

Mrs. Jennie Blake, formerly of Columbus Junction, but a resident of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, for the past 15 years, died at 8:30 a.m. Friday, June 25, 1971, at the Oak Forest Nursing Home in Portage, Wisconsin. She was 86 years, 10 months, and 21 days of age.

She was born August 4, 1884, the daughter of Daniel and Rachel Rogers Worley and was married to Frank Blake, who died in 1952.

She is survived by one son, C. Emmett Blake of Portage, Wis.; one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Schiffer of LaCrosse, Wis., eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home conducted by Rev. V. D. Bundy. Mis Donna Belle Hughes was organist.

Casket bearers were David Gabriel, J.W. Sands, Sam Sands and three grandsons, Francis, Donald and Leonard Schiffer.

Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery with the Rebekah Lodge conducting the graveside service.
