Funeral services for 80 year old Florence E. Billings of Geneseo, IL., formerly of Columbus Junction, were held Thursday, February 24, 1994, at the Wright Chapel, Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Homes, Geneseo, IL., with the Rev. Roger Perry officiating. Memorials may be made to the Florence E. Billings Memorial Fund. Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery, Columbus City.

Florence died Sunday, February 20, 1994, at the Hillcrest Home in Geneseo, IL.

She was born June 5, 1913, in Stansberry, MO., to Charles and Dora Holloway Tropp. On September 9, 1929, she married Cecil Billings in Muscatine. He died August 6, 1977.

Mrs. Billings had worked 25 years at the Iowa Mental Health Hospital in Mount Pleasant, retiring in 1977. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Royal Neighbors and Rebekahs in New London and Cambridge, IL.

Survivors include two daughters, Jean Willey and Shirley Wolford, both of Geneseo, IL; two sons, Charles Billings of Stuart, FL., and Robert Billings of FLower Mound, TX; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
