Beverly Bierman, 59, of Fruitland, Iowa, died July 15, 2001, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa.

Beverly Conklin was born March 7, 1942, the daughter of Edith Zeahringer Conklin. She worked as a cook at Kermit's Restaurant until recently when her health forced her to retire.

Bev especially enjoyed her family. She liked cooking and helping people out.

Survivors include sons, Jeff Bierman and his wife, Joan, of Muscatine and Trevor Bierman of Fruitland and daughters, Lisa Ahlf and her special friend, Roger Kemper of Fruitland and Dana Hills and her husband, Tony, of Columbus Junction. There are eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Also surviving are her step-father, Don Conklin of Grandview and two brothers, Duane Curry and his wife, Connie, of Fruitland and Rick Krueger and his wife, Diana of Muscatine.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Conklin.

Funeral services were held July 18 at 11 a.m., at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, Muscatine. Rev. Ronald Yohe officiated. Burial was at the Grandview Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
