Mrs. Violet E. Bishop, 63, dies Friday

Mrs. Violet E. Bishop, 63, 6 Jeff Drive, Muscatine, died Friday, November 7, 1986, at Muscatine General Hospital.

Services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home in Muscatine with Rev. Elmer Armstrong officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine.

Mrs. Bishop was born March 21, 1923, in Dean, the daughter of Earl and Mabel Lindsey. She married Theodore Bishop on March 30, 1943, in Unionville, Missouri.

Surviving are one son, Leo E. of Muscatine; a daughter, Mrs. Alan (Lynn) Jordan of Letts; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Chester (Mablene) Henderson of Muscatine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1973, and a (incomplete newspaper clipping)
