Bieri, 74, dies Wednesday

Clarence F. "Casey" Bieri, 74, died Wednesday night, May 25, 1988, at his home, 2860 Highland Court, Muscatine.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, Muscatine, with Rev. Paul Ostrem officiating.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church of which he was a member.

Mr. Bieri was born February 13, 1914, in Mercer County, Illinois, a son of Joseph F. and Martha E. Zigenhorn Bieri. His marriage to Elsie Marie Miller took place April 6, 1947, at Burlington. He served on the church council for many years, was a member and past master of the Triangular Lodge No. 245 at Letts, a member of the York Rite Bodies, a 32nd Mason of Davenport Consistory and a member of the KAABA Temple Shrine. From 1939-45 he served with the U.S. Navy where he was chief petty officer and had farmed for 26 years in the High Prairie community. Later he worked for Kent Feeds at the Atalissa Elevator, Atalissa, retiring in 1979.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie; one son, Sheldon J. of Laurens; two granddaughters; two brothers, Ray of Wapello and Richard of Letts; and one sister, Lucille Bieri, Montrose, Colorado.

His parents, one sister and an infant brother preceded him in death.
