Mrs. Meda Klotz Blender Died At Peoria, Illinois

Mrs. Meda Klotz Blender, daughter of Thomas and Anna Stapp Klotz was born at Columbus Junction, November 19, 1882 and passed away at a nursing home in Peoria, Illinois, November 20, 1965, at 8:30 a.m. at the age of 83 years and 1 day. She had been ill practically one month.

Mrs. Blender graduated from the Columbus Junction high school with the class of 1900. Later she became a registered nurse, taking her training at Keokuk.

She was married to Dr. William Blender and for years they lived in Carthage and Peoria, Illinois where he practiced medicine.

Four children were born to them, three of whom survive. They are Dorothea Blender, a lawyer in Chicago; Dr. William Blender Jr., and Thomas Blender, both of Peoria.

She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and one brother, Paul M. Klotz of Columbus Junction. She was preceded in death by her husband who died nine years ago, also by one son, her parents and four sisters and one brother.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 Monday afternoon at Peoria, Illinois with burial in Peoria.
