Floyd C. Blankenhorn Called By Death

Floyd C. Blankenhorn, 74, of 114 Clara Barton Street in Washington died Monday night, July 14, 1969 at the Washington County hospital.

The funeral was Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Jones Funeral Home at Washington with Rev. M.O. Smith in charge. Burial in Ainsworth Cemetery.

Mr. Blankenhorn was a retired farmer, having lived in the Ainsworth and Crawfordsville communities until his retirement in 1953.

He was born in Letts, Iowa, March 6, 1895. A son of David and Maria (Courtney) Blankenhorn, he was reared in the Letts and Washington communities and married September 22, 1914 at Crawfordsville to Eva Marie Nicholson.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Donald of Crawfordsville; one daughter, Mrs. Allen (Irene) Barth of Lansing, Michigan; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Erwin of Ottumwa and a sister, Mrs. Harold Tucker of Steamboat Springs, Colo.

Two brothers, Ray and Lester preceded him in death.
