OAKVILLE, Iowa — Services for Ralph Stanley Shutt, 85, of Oakville, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church, Oakville. Burial will be in Edwards Cemetery, Oakville.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello.

Mr. Shutt died Friday, June 18, 1999, at Wapello Nursing and Care Center.

He worked for Carlson's Service Station, Oakville; U.S. Post Office, Oakville; IAAP, Middletown; Pine Motors, Wapello; and owned and operated Shutt's Grocery Store, Oakville,

Ralph was born July 15, 1913, on a farm southeast of Oakville. He married Amy Hemphill in 1943 in Ainsworth. She died in 1998.

Memorials may be made to the Louisa County Historical Society and the Louisa County Public Health and Homecaring Services.

Survivors include sons, W. Wes, Oakville, and Todd, Wapello; and five grandchildren.
