OAKVILLE, Iowa — Amy E. Shutt, 81, of Oakville, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, at Morning Sun Care Center.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Oakville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Edwards Cemetery, Oakville.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello.

She taught school in rural Washington County, Lone Tree, Oakville, Prairie Point, Huron and Burlington for 31 years and was a substitute teacher for 10 years. After retirement, she was director of Toolesboro Historical Mounds facility.

She was born Jan. 26, 1917, in Duncanville, Ill. She married Stanley Shutt in 1943 in Ainsworth.

A memorial fund has been established.

Survivors include her husband; sons, W. Wes, Oakville, and Todd H., Wapello; and five grandchildren.
