Blankenship, 38, dies

Mrs. Linda Marie Blankenship, 38, Carriage House Apartments, Columbus Junction, died early June 15, 1988.

A memorial service was held at 6:30 p.m. at the Independent Bible Church at Letts on Thursday. The Rev. William Strickland officiated. Internment was at Memorial Park Cemetery, Muscatine.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, Muscatine.

Miss Blankenship was born April 11, 1950, at Muscatine, a daughter of Donald and Janet Marshall Howard. Formerly of Grandview and Letts areas, she had lived in Columbus Junction for five years. She married William C. Blankenship on April 30, 1982, at Reserve, Louisiana. She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include her husband, William; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Howard of Letts; three brothers, Donald Howard Jr. of Letts; Steven Howard of West Liberty; and David Howard of Columbus Junction; and two sisters, Kristy Kerr of Muscatine; and Lori Lindner of Algona.

Two brothers preceded her in death.
