Trae Robert Bohlen, 14 month old son of Steve and JoLynn Bohlen of Wapello, died Tuesday night, February 9, 1999, at home following complications of Menkes disease. Trae was born November 19, 1997 at Waterloo, Iowa.

He is survived by his parents, Steven D. and JoLynn Mae "Wamsley" Boulen; his grandparents, Robert and LaDonna Wamsley of Greene and Marvin and Elaine Bohlen of Clarksville; his uncles, aunts, and cousins, Mike and Sandra Ruby, Wesley and Tyler of Greene, Joe and Tracy Faust and Kelsey of Waterloo, Brent Bohlen of Waterloo, Todd and Debbie Bohlen, Vance and Brodie of Belle Plaine, Dave and Shari Wilken and Jordan Bjustrom of Clarksville, and Darren Bohlen of Clarksville.

Trae was a baptized member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Wapello.

The funeral service for Trae Bohlen was at 2 p.m. Friday, February 12, 1999, at St. Paul Lutheran church, Wapello, with the Revs. Royce Rinehart and David Anderson officiating. Music was provided by David Hoeg, organist and Jacque Ward, vocalist. The casket bearers were Brent Bohlen, Todd Bohlen, Darren Bohlen and Mike Ruby.

Burial was at the Linwood Cemetery at Clarksville, Saturday, following a 11 a.m. memorial service at St. John Lutheran Church, Clarksville, officiated by the Rev. Norman Omodt.

Visitation was Thursday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello where the family met with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

A memorial Fund has been established.
