Funeral Rites For Matthew J. Boney

Funeral services were held for Matthew Joseph Boney, 91, who died Saturday morning, May 20, 1961 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Tom Dulaney, where he had been visiting the past two months.

Mr. Boney was a life resident of Rock Island county and worked for the city of Moline for many years.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Lela Johnson of Silvis, Illinois; Mrs. Bernice Downing of Coal Valley, Illinois; Mrs. Mildred Shipley of LeClaire and Mrs. Tom Dulaney of Columbus Junction; two sons, Leo Boney of Orion, Illinois and Don Boney of Moline. His wife and parents preceded him in death.

The body was taken from the Duncan Funeral Home, Columbus Junction to the Esterdahl Funeral Home in Moline where funeral services were held at 1 p.m. dst Tuesday with Rev. Nels Bengtson, officiating. Burial at the Andalusa cemetery.
