Funeral services for Robert Owen Bennett, 74, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Walker officiating. Burial was in the Conesville Cemetery.

He died Monday, January 23, 1995, at the Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport. He was a former resident of Muscatine and Conesville and had been at the Fejervary Health Care Center in Davenport.

Robert Owen Bennett was born October 15, 1920, in Lovilia, Iowa, the son of Walter and Carry E. Bennett.

He was a member of the Davenport Carpenters Union and the Muscatine Moose Lodge.

Surviving are three sons, Ronald E., Robert D. (Butch), and Darrell D. (Denny) Bennett, all of Conesville; one daughter, Stacie J. Harris of Wilton; six grandchildren; two brothers, Harrison Bennett of Conesville and Gordon Bennett of Winfield, and one sister, Mrs. Jessie Wehmeyer of Lone Tree.

His parents, one sister and three brothers preceded him in death.
