Clifford H. Bennett, 93, formerly of Columbus Junction, Iowa, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at Manor Care in Waterloo. Funeral services for him was held on Saturday at Cedar Hills Community Church. Rev. Kent Landhuis and Rev. Dr. Leonard Ransom officiated the services. Burial was at the Indian Creek Cemetery, Columbus Junction.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra (Robert) McDowell of Springfield, MO., a son, Thomas (Melodee Hines) of Billings, MT, and a daughter, Lori (Tony) Tonsfeldt of Cedar Rapids; 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine and his parents.

He was born May 28, 1912 in Davenport and adopted by Jess and Clara Abney Bennett. He married Rosetta Maxine Blankenhorn on June 11, 1950 in Columbus Junction. He was a farmer and later operated a feed store in Columbus Junction prior to his retirement. He and Maxine enjoyed music, traveling and spending time with their family.
