Mrs. Winnie Bell Rites Were Monday

Mrs. Winnie Bell, a life resident of this community died at Muscatine General hospital at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 1965.

Winnie Peters Bell, daughter of Daniel and Ann Edwards Peters, was born in Louisa County, February 20, 1886 and was aged 78 years, 10 months and 12 days.

She was united in marriage to Spencer Bell, January 9, 1908. Mr. Bell passed away four years ago.

She was a member of the Cotter Presbyterian church and enjoyed the esteem of many friends.

Survivors include one son Don of Columbus Junction; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Boyd and Mrs. Margaret Robertson both of Columbus Junction, Mrs. Anita Hill of Muscatine, and Mrs. Mildred Harbison Jr., of Morning Sun; six brothers, Tom, Jack and Jarrett Peters all of Columbus Junction, Dennis of Columbus City, Omri of Cotter and Ellis of Alhambra, California; one sister, Mrs. Scienia Pugh of Columbus Junction; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grand-children.

Funeral services were held at the Stacy Funeral home at two o'clock Monday afternoon and were conducted by the Rev. James Rila of Cotter.

Organist was Miss Donna Belle Hughes.

Flower attendants were Janet Bell, Ruth Boyd, Czgonnie Robertson, Kathy Peters, Diana Hill.

Casket bearers were Art Hill, Mike Bell, Larry Robertson, Sam Bell, Danny Boyd, Tom Harbison.

Burial at the Columbus City Cemetery.
