Etta M. Bell, 91, of Columbus Junction, died Friday, Oct. 16, 1992 at Colonial Manor Care Center, Columbus Junction.

Born Oct. 2, 1901 at Lowden, she was the daughter of Henry and Minnie Gehrls Dircks. On Oct. 14, 1992 she was married to Harold Bell at Davenport.

Mrs. Bell was a homemaker and a longtime resident of the area. She bowled and was a member of the WIBC. She was an avid bingo player. Mrs. Bell was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and the Emma Beckman Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include three sons, Howard Bell Jr. of Columbus Junction, Jerry Bell and Ralph Bell, both of Columbus City; five daughters, Betty Boulton of Columbus City, Mary Jane Meyer of Muscatine, Peggy Kulp of Columbus City, Karyn Hills of Columbus Junction and Paulette Redlinger of Columbus City; 23 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren; a brother Ralph Dircks of Columbus Junction; and three sisters, Gay Eliason of Longmont, colo., Irene Frisk of Columbus Junction and Laurene Wells of Washington, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, a son, two grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Visitation was Sunday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction.

The funeral for Mrs. Bell was at 1:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Burial was in the columbus City Cemetery.
