George Beik, 71, dies in Muscatine

George Beik, 71, of Muscatine died Wednesday evening, April 4, 1984, at the Lutheran Homes in Muscatine.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello with the Rev. Robert Douglas officiating. Burial was in the Grandview Cemetery.

The son of Dan and Cal Walker Beik, he was born June 19, 1912, in Grandview. His marriage to Bernice McLaughlin took place December 24, 1937, in Washington. Mr. Beik had been employed as a farmer.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Larry and Stephen, both of Nichols; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Keith of Grandview and Richard of Prescott, Arizona; and one sister, Mrs. Nola Pine of Columbus City.

He was preceded in death by one sister and one daughter.
