MUSCATINE, Iowa - Carolyn S. Beik, 56, Muscatine, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Pallbearers are David Brocket Jr., Leslie Brocket, Mike Beaham, Aaron McKillip, Danny Ortiz, and Larry Brown Jr. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery, Grandview.

Visitation is 3-7 p.m today, with family present from 5:30-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

Mrs. Beik was born July 11, 1947, in Muscatine, the daughter of Robert John and Marcella Mary Olson McKillip. She married Larry Beik July 10, 1987, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua.

She resided in and around Muscatine her entire life.

She had worked at HON for 29 years until her illness disabled her in 2002.

She enjoyed crafts, decorating, and gardening.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Michael of Grandview and James and Brandon, both of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Julie of Muscatine; two stepdaughters, Patricia Stransky and Barbara Trafton, both of Kalona; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Robert J. McKillip of Muscatine; three half-brothers, James McKillip, Wesliey McKillip, and Ricki McKillip; three sisters, Madonna Kircher of Keithsburg, Ill., Ruth Beaham of letts, and Eugenia Brown of Muscatine; three half-sisters, Gail Boyle of Rock Island, Ill., Vikki Coulter of Muscatine, and Ernestine Vande Woord of Fort Worth, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister in infancy, and a half-brother in infancy.
