Mrs. Mabel C. Beenblossom Died

Mrs. Mabel C. Beenblossom, 66, died Friday January 17, 1964 at 5:30 p.m. at Washington. She had made her home with her sister Cora Hopping at 114 1/2 East Washington Street. Death followed a lingering illness.

The funeral was Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Jones Funeral home with the Rev. Richard Peterson in charge. Burial in Elm Grove cemetery.

Mabel Christina Hopping was born August 7, 1897 in Estherville, Iowa, a daughter of Frank and Christina Thompson Hopping. She was reared in Washington and married June 30, 1944 to Lester O. Beenblossom. He died February 10, 1953.

Following her marriage she lived on a farm near Cairo, Iowa, until 1956 when she went to Washgington.

Survivors are a stepson, Dale Beenblossom of Columbus Junction and a step daughter, Mrs. Verne Escher of Washington. Also four brothers and sisters: Cora Hopping of Washington. Clark Hopping of Columbus Junction; Lloyd Hopping of Riverside and Mrs. Oscar (Edna) Gerot of Riverside; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
