Wapello Republican, May 12, 1988

Clarence M. Beeding, 88, of Wapello, died Thursday, May 5, 1988 at his home.

Born Feb. 20. 1900, in Aledo, Ill., he was the son of Frank and Elizabeth Almandinger Beeding.
He married Helen Wheeler Jan. 19, 1922, in Aledo, Ill. She died July 2, 1976.

He was a farmer, carpenter and commercial fisherman.

Surviving are eight daughters, Vivian Foster, Stella Foster, Beverly Spitznogle, Helen Florence Wixom, Bonnie Oberly and Anna Moore, all of Wapello, Alice Hamilton, Oakville, and Evelyn June Clayton, Letts; five sons, Clyde "Pete" Beeding, Bill Beeding and Harold "Herb" Beeding, all of Oakville, Ronald Beeding, Wapello, and Jerry Beeding, Muscatine; 68 grandchildren; 102 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello.

The service for Mr. Beeding was 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello, with the Rev. George Yetter officiating. Burial was in Wapello Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by parents, wife, 2 sons, Omer & Terry; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.

Pallbearers were Marvin Beeding, Larry Beeding, Clinton Hamilton, Earnest Ford, Jordy Beeding and Ross Foster.

Flower attendants were Roberta Foster, Cheryl Reckenburgher, Teressa Wykert, and Tammy Schneider.

Organist was Kathleen Hagele.
