Esther L. Beck, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital, Tucson, AZ on Friday, November 29, 1996. She was born in Morning Sun, IA to Henry H. and Fannie D. Veale Beck.

Esther graduated from Morning Sun High School and received a Doctor's degree from Indiana University. She was a full professor and associate dean for many years at Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana. She retired to Green Valley, AZ and was active in her church and many social groups.

A memorial service was held at Green Valley Community Church on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1996. Inurnment will be at a later date at Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun.

She was preceded in death by her parents, eight sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by three nephews: Philip M. Davenport, Chevy Chase, MD, Edward C. Davenport, Omaha, NE, and Robert V. Hays, Council Bluffs, IA.
