Howard Beenblossom, 94, of Washington, died Sunday evening, March 7, 1982, at Washington County Hospital. He had been seriously ill in the past month.

The funeral was Wednesday, March 10, at 2 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Tharpe officiating. Burial was in Elm Grove Cemetery. Memorials will go to the United Methodist Church in Ainsworth.

Charles Howard Beenblossom was born in Washington November 21, 1887, a son of Calvin and Meda Skipton Beenblossom. He was raised there and attended Washington Academy and graduated from college in Des Moines.

He married Myrtle Tidball on August 31, 1910. He had been a farmer, school teacher, restaurant operator and started Ainsworth Dairy Mart. He had lived in the area most of his life. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Ainsworth.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Charles of Riviera, Arizona, Mrs. Milan (Almeda) Thompson of Washington, Morris of Larned, Kansas, and Mrs. Harold (Joella) Gerdes of Ainsworth; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Two sisters preceded him in death.
