Addie L. Beckey, 92, dies in Newton

Mrs. Addie L. Beckey, 92, a former Columbus City resident, died Monday, November 24, 1980, at the Heritage Manor in Newton.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 28, at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. Rev. Gary Walker officiated. Burial was in the Grandview Cemetery.

She was born in Louisa County February 19, 1888, to Monroe H. and Mary Ellen Brogen Adams. She married Adam Beckey in 1908 in Wapello. He died in 1946.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George (Freda) McCandless of Hamilton, Ohio, and Mrs. Ralph (Erma) Davis of Newton; three granddaughters; and one sister, Mrs. Herb (Leona) Crull of Columbus City.

She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
