Beeding dies at his home

Clarence M. beeding, 88, of Wapello, died May 5, 1988, at his home.

Services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home with the Rev. George Yetter officiating. Burial was in the Wapello Cemetery.

Mr. Beeding was born February 20, 1900, at Aledo Illinois, son of Frank and Elizabeth Almandinger Beeding. His marriage to Helen Wheeler took place January 19, 1922, at Aledo. She died July 2, 1976. Farming, carpentering, and commercial fishing were his occupations.

Survivors include five sons, Clyde "Pete", Bill and Harold "Herb", all of Oakville; Ronald of Wapello, and Jerry of Muscatine; eight daughters, Vivian Foster, Stella Foster, Beverly Spitznogle, Helen Florence Wixom, Bonnie Oberly and Anna Moore, all of Wapello; Alice Hamilton of Oakville; and Evelyn June Clayton of Letts, 68 grandchildren; 102 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents, two sons, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, two sisters and one brother.
