Clarence H. Bausch, 81, died Saturday night, March 15, at Des Moines General Hospital.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction. Burial was in the Nichols Cemetery.

Bausch was born in rural Nichols on April 4, 1898, a son of Adolf and Mary Renshaw Bausch. He married Reba Preston in 1924. In 1955 he married Evon Hall Crise.

He was a farmer in the Columbus Junction area.

Survivors include his wife, Evon; a son, Elmer, Decatur, Illinois; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Doris) Enabnit, Clear Lake; two step-sons, Galen and Daniel Crise; two step-daughters, Carda Crise, Mitchellville; and Mrs. Janna Phelan, Colfax; two brothers, Stephan, Columbus Juction; and Maurice, Cedar Rapids; four sisters; Mrs. Grace Hansen, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Vernon (Irene) Clark, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Richard (Hazel) Alcorn, Clinton; and Mrs. Dean (Marva) Wyatt, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde, and a son, Nile.
