Mrs. Clara Wilson Passes Away
Former Resident Dies in Muscatine

Mrs. Clara Wilson, 67, mother of Kyle Wilson and formerly a resident of Morning Sun, passed away last Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Richard Noble, in Muscatine.

With the exception of a short time when she lived in Fairfield and Batavia, Mrs. Wilson spent her entire life in Louisa County. Her husband, D. E. Wilson, died in 1924.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. E.F. Kimmelshue, were held at the United Presbyterian church Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Lucretia Green, Mrs. Roberta Hardy, Barbara Brown and Beverly Brown sang "God Will Take Care of You" and "The City Four Square." They were accompanied at the piano by Mrs. C.A. Brown. Mrs. Luther Royer and Mrs. Wyman Bazel were in charge of the flowers. Pallbearers were Raymond Cummings, Hoyt Cummings, Glen Cummings, Dean Hudson, Lyle Gibbs and Albert Pogemiller. Burial was at Batavia, Iowa.
OBITUARY

Clara Elizabeth, daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Brown Cummings was born near Cairo, Iowa on April 2, 1878 and passed away at the home of her daughter in Muscatine, Iowa, on August 16, 1945 at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 14 days. She was married to David Elmer Wilson in 1899 and to the union were born six children, three of whom with the father preceeded her in death. Twin daughters, Edith and Myrtle died in young womanhood and one son, Lyle died at an early age. D.E. Wilson passed away August 23, 1924.

Surviving to honor her memory are one daughter, Mrs. Richard Noble of Muscatine, and two sons, Melvin E. of Rock Island, Illinois, and Kyle C. of Morning Sun. Also surviving are three brothers, Everett Cummings of Columbus Junction, Samuel and Calvin Cummings, both of Winfield, ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

In her work as a practical nurse Mrs. Wilson led an active and useful life, devoting much of her time to the care of infants and the aged.
