Martha Mae Brannon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Brannon of Oho, Missouri, was born May 4th, 1889, at Lowry City, Missouri, and died at Orchard, Iowa, September 21, 1914 at age 25 years, 4 months and 17 days.

She professed faith in Christ in August 1911, and united with the South Methodist Church at Green Valley.

She was united in marriage to W.E. Bratton of Oakville, Iowa, September 21, 1910.

Born to this union were two children, both dying in infancy. Besides her husband, mother and father, she leaves a twin sister and six brothers: Mrs. Glenn Walker, of Ohio, Missouri; Frank, Roy and Earl, of Manhatten, Kans; Harry, of Livington, Mont.; and Carl, at home. Besides this sorrying family, she leaves a host of friends to mourn her loss.

When her parents lived in this city, Mae always liked to attend Sunday school and church services. She was a member of Mrs. Mendenhall's class and thought much of her teacher and her associates.

Her death occurred on the fourth anniversary of her wedding.

The funeral services were held and the body laid to rest at Concord Baptist Church on Thursday morning, September 24.

The services were conducted by Rev. Hawkins, of Lowry City, an intimate friend of the family.
