Mrs. Ruth Batchelor Funeral Rites

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Fowler Blake Batchelor of Route 5, Antioch, Illinois, were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fairbanks Chapel in Muscatine. Rev. Waylon Taylor conducted the service. Mrs. Eva Kramer was organist. Casket bearers were Paul Quigley, Harry Quigley, Arthur Johnson, Nile Jones, Eddie Klipstein and Leroy Pentecost.

Burial was in the Letts Cemetery.

She was born in Letts, January 15, 1919, the daughter of Warren and Eva Lawrence Fowler. She died at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 1971, in Waukegan, Illinois, at the age of 52 years 5 months and 20 days.

She is survived by her husband, Marion Dean Batchelor; two sons, Warren Blake of Muscatine and Justin Blake of Princeton, Minnesota, four daughters, Mrs. Bobbie (Jackie) Kemp, Janet Griffith, and Jo Lynn Blake, all of Letts and Mrs. John (Julia) Humphreys of Winfield; three sisters, Mrs. Leona Curtis and Mrs. George Wagner both of Muscatine and Mrs. Carl Hines of Letts and 14 grandchildren.
