Jeannene Kay Bass, 43, of Grandview, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1993, in an automobile accident on Iowa 92, four miles east of Columbus Junction.

Born July 28, 1949, in Muscatine, she was the daughter of Arthur and Louise Fifield Reynolds Sr. She married Lowell Bass July 28, 1968, in Muscatine.

She was a graduate of Muscatine High School and had completed a course as a certified nurses aide. She worked in private duty home care for 12 years. She was a member of the Fruitland Baptist Church and the Grandview Community Bible Church.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Todd Bass of Fort Knox, Ky.; one daughter, Julie Tate of Grandview; her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gene Reynolds Sr. of Columbus Junction; her mother, Louise Reynolds of Muscatine; five brothers, Arthur Gene Reynolds Jr. of Pensacola, Fla., Richard Reynolds, Gary Reynolds and Mike Reynolds, all of Muscatine, and Ted Reynolds of Columbus Junction; six sisters, Janet Toscano and Wendy Reynolds, both of Muscatine, Scarlet Hurlbut of Oregon, Kathy Norman of Columbus Junction, Lori Johnson of Grandview and Kelly Nash of Joy, Ill.; her grandmother, Grace Fifield of Muscatine; and three grandchildren.

The funeral for Mrs. Bass was 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial was in the Grandview Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
