Mrs. Harriette Jane Bass, 61, Memphis, Missouri, formerly of Conesville, Iowa, died at home on Tuesday, June 9, 1992.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Conesville, Cemetery, Conesville, Iowa.

Mrs. Bass was born March 26, 1931, in Conesville, the daughter of Leo and Viola Stratton Wagner. She married Frank Bass January 22, 1949, in Muscatine, Iowa.

Harriette is survived by her husband, Frank, Memphis, Missouri; ten children, Mrs. Clarence (Barbara) Skipton, Gorin, Missouri, Mrs. Charles (Leah) Colbert, Chickamauga, Georgia, Bill Bass, Toni Brown, Mrs. Dan (Tracey) Swanson, Boot Bass, Mrs. Robert (Vernoica) Mittan, Clint Bass and Pete Bass, all of Gorin, Missouri, Fred Bass of Wilton. There are 12 grandchildren, 25 step-grandchildren, 30 step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 13 brothers and sisters, Robert Wagner of Buffalo, Juanita Lobdell of Davenport, Jack Wagner, Columbus Junction, David Wagner, Letts, Mrs. Merlin (Mona) Alloway, Wilton, Donna Alloway, Cambridge, Illinois, Mrs. Harold (Marilyn) Brockert, Toolesboro, Mrs. Donald (Sharon) Stevens, Cambridge, Illinois, Margaret Mesecher, Columbus Junction, Mrs. Paul (Peggy) Wear, Grinnel, Mrs. Duane (Patty) Adcock and Randy Wagner, both of Muscatine, Mrs. Ronald (Kerry) Ziehl, Columbus Junction.

Harriette was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Jeffery and a step-grandson.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction, where a memorial has been established.
