MT. PLEASANT, IOWA--Doris Marie Basan, 59, a resident of the Mapleleaf Healcare Center of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa died Friday, Dec. 27, at the Henry County Health Center of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. The Rev. Gary Walker will officiate.

Burial will follow the service at the Letts Cemetery.

Basan was born Sept. 8, 1937 at Wapello, the daughter of Forrest A. and Erma A. Wilson Clayton.

She married Antonio Basan who preceded her in death.

Survivors include her three sisters, Pat L. Johnson of Muscatine, Minnie L. Laymon of Wapello and Shirley L. Martinez of Moline, Ill.; three brothers, Ralph F. "Bud" Clayton of Letts, John D. Clayton of Wapello and Forrest A. "Duke" Clayton, also of Wapello; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and five sisters, Forestine clayton, Joanne Clayton, Elaine Fry, Lola Evans and Nancy Perkins.
