John F. Gabriel who is attending two weeks active Army duty with the 372nd Ordinance Co. (D.A.S.) at Camp McCoy Wisconsin was called home this past weekend due to the very sudden death of his uncle Everette Adams at Novinger, Missouri.

He accompanied Paul Masonholder to Columbus Junction by plane Saturday and left immediately by auto with his family for Novinger, Missouri. At Washington they were joined by Mrs. Floyd Marston and Mrs. Edgar Porter who accompanied them to Missouri. All returned home early Sunday and John returned by plane to Camp McCoy Sunday aftermoon.

Also attending the funeral of Everette Adams at Kirksville Missouri were Mr. and Mrs. George Gabriel, Mr. and Mrs. Orval Werner and daughters and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde C. Keiper of Winfield.
