I. Gene Anderson, 57, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 13, 1995, at the Washington County Hospital, Washington.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Ronnie VanAuken, Dick Reynolds, Chuck Sojke, Warren Ball, Pete Bike and Jack Pugh. Honorary pallbearers will be Wes Norton, Gerry Williams, Ervin Mattson, Bob Meeker, and Bud Speth. Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery, Columbus City. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where a memorial has been established.

Mr. Anderson was born June 20, 1938, in Missouri, a son of Godfried and Faye Boner Anderson. Formerly of Stanberry, Mo., he had resided here since 1962.

He married Hazel Boysen on Nov. 23, 1963, in Cairo.

He had worked at Rath Packing in Columbus Junction until it closed, and then had worked with F.D.L. before his current job with Excell in Kalona, as a hog buyer. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel; two daughters, Rhonda and Rob Pritchard and their son, Kyle of Winfield; and Brenda and Scott Wade and their daughter, Brooke of Columbus Junction; a Half-brother, Paul Anderson of Orange, Calif.; and his mother-in-law, Lorena Boysen of Morning
Sun.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Wayne, and one grandson, Trevor.
