Kenneth LeRoy Anderson, age 63, Morning Sun, died Saturday, Septembe 3, 1988 at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City. The son of Leonard and Edith (Butcher) Anderson, he was born November 14, 1924 in Louisa County. On October 20, 1951 he married Lucille Wiley at Morning Sun, who survives. He was a native of the Morning Sun area, and most recently was an employee at Sun Motors in Morning Sun. He served in the Army during W.W. II; was a member of the American Legion; and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Morning Sun.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Barbara Niles, Mt. Union; two sons, Eugene and Mark, both of Morning Sun; two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 6, 1988 at 11:00 a.m. from the United Methodist Church, Morning Sun, with the Revs. Dennis McMillan and Tom Zeleny officiating. Music was by Eloise Kerr, organist, and Jay Hutcheson, soloist.

Casketbearers were Art Hamilton, Verl Hall, David Shadle, Tom Jones, Mike Karagin, Nathan Kerr. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery with Military Rites by the Morning Sun Legion Post. A memorial has been established.

Hagele and Honts Funeral Home, Morning Sun, was in charge of arrangements.
