Mrs. Elsie May Adams was born February 27, 1891, the daughter of Callie Boke and Robert Shaughnessy. She passed away June 28, 1963 at the University Hospital in Iowa City after an extended illness.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs, Carol Chapel of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Garnet Todd of Iowa City; two sisters, Mrs. Fay Battey of Musatine and Mrs. Nita Miller of Atalissa; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, William Adams, one son Ralph, two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services were held at the George Wittich Funeral Home in Muscatine July 1, in charge of Rev. Edwin W. Frohardt. Burial was in Memorial Park at Muscatine.
