Lloyd Eugene "Geno" Anderson, age 41, of Morning Sun, died Wednesday morning, March 5, 1997 at his home. The son of Kenneth and Lucille Wiley Anderson, he was born December 31, 1955 at Burlington. He married Tamara Jones on January 15, 1983 at Morning Sun.

He was a graduate of the Morning Sun High School in 1974. He worked as a forklift operator at the Walmart Distribution center at Mt. Pleasant.

He was a member of the Morning Sun Lions and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a CB enthusiast and enjoyed the Green Bay Packers and NASCAR auto racing.

Survivors include his wife, Tamara of Morning Sun; a son Kristopher at home; a daughter Katherine at home; his mother Lucille Anderson of Morning Sun; a brother Mark Anderson of Morning Sun; and a sister, Barbara Niles of Winfield.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

The funeral service for Gene Anderson was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 1997 at the first United Presbyterian Church at Morning Sun with Rev. Jack Edmisson and Rev. Chris Ebbers officiating. Music was provided by Nancy Edmisson, organist.

Burial followed at the Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun. Casket bearers were Curt Hauswirth, Bob Richenberger, Dale Jennett, Chuck Ford, Corey Carlson, and Joe Reid, Jr.

Visitation was Friday at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home, Morning Sun, where the family met with friends Friday evening.

A Memorial Fund has been established for the benefit of the children.
