Frances Bean dies at Manor

Frances Marie BEAN, 81 of Ainsworth died Wednesday, March 3, 1982, at the Colonial Manor Care Center following an extended illness.

Services were held Saturday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Tharpe of Ainsworth officiating. Burial was in the Ainsworth Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home for the Colonial Manor Whirlpool.

The daughter of George and Frances GOULD-EDEN, she was born November 22, 1900, in Lone Tree.

Her marriage to Norman BEAN took place November 13, 1922, in Iowa City. He died May 1, 1975.

Survivors include six sons, Stanley of Columbus Junction, Wallace, Bernard and Danny, all of Muscatine, and Larry and Jerry, both of Ainsworth; Three daughters, Mrs. Don (Mary) KIESEY of Mount Pleasant, Mrs. Ralph (Geneva) GERLING of Grandview and Mrs. Franklin (BEVERLY) PERSHY of Muscatine; 37 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Clayton EDEN of Iowa City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one daughter, six grandchildren, eight brothers and two sisters.
