Mrs. Mamie SNYDERS Called By Death

Mrs. Mamie SNYDERS, 72 of 610 1/2 Church street, Iowa City, died at 12:10 a. m. Saturday at Mercy hospital Iowa City, after a lingering illness.

The former Mamie Sanger, she was born March 16, 1880 near Springdale, Iowa, being a daughter of John and Lucy Sanger. She taught in schools of the West Branch community prior to her marriage to Jake SNYDERS, December 23, 1903.

Mr. and Mrs. SNYDERS made their home on a farm in the Cotter community for a number of years prior to their retirement from farming. Their home had been at Iowa City for the past 15 months.

Mrs. SNYDERS is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Hogue of Kirkwood, Missouri, and Mrs. Arthur H. Schmeichel of Iowa City, formerly of Muscatine; by two brothers, Will Sanger of Iowa City and John Sanger of Mitchell, South Dakota; and by three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services were conducted at the Beckman Funeral home at Iowa City, Monday afternoon. Burial at Springdale.
