Mrs. Nellie MARSDEN Called By Death

Mrs. Nellie MARSDEN became ill Tuesday morning and was taken to Muscatine General Hospital were she died that afternoon July 13, 1965.

Nellie V. McROBERTS was born November 23, 1880, in Grandview, daughter of David D. and Marie Jane SMITH-McROBERTS and was aged 84 years, 7 months, and 20 days.

She was united in marriage to Walter MARSEN January 22, 1902, her entire married life was spent in the Shellbark community. Mr. MARSDEN died July 21, 1959 and Mrs. MARSDEN has continued to reside on the farm with her daughter and husband Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Harbison.

She was a member of the Shellbark Club for over 50 years and a long time member of the Columbus City Methodist church.

She is survived by three children, Mrs. Hilda Giffey, Moline, Illinois; Mrs. Clyde Harbison and Harry MARSDEDN of Columbus Junction; one brother E. L. McROBERTS, Columbus Junction and one sister, Mrs. Bert Dunlap, Davenport.

Funeral services were held at the Stacy Funeral home at 2:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Earl Josten.

Music was by Mrs. B. O. Roundy.

Flower attendants were Mrs. H. W. Pedersen and Mrs. Lloyd Cecil.

Casket bearers were Lloyd Prior, Roger Peters, Ralph Wilson, Marion Howell, Judge Wrede and Clem Heitmeier.

Burial in the Columbus City cemetery.
