Harry Wagner of 945 17th St., Rock Island, Illinois, died at the age of 76 years at the Moline Lutheran Hospital after a brief illness. (The date of his death was not given in the obituary sent to the Gazette but SSDI has his date of death as April 1970.)

Funeral services were held at the Wheelan Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth D. Kuenning, pastor of the Church of Peace, officiating . Burial was in the Chippiannock cemetery.

Mr. Wagner was born December 9, 1893 in Fredonia, Iowa, a son of James and Francetta Utter Wagner. He married the former Myra Bleuer in Muscatine.

Mr. Wagner formerly had been employed by the Grennan Baking Co. of Chicago for many years. He later entered construciton work and was a member of the Ironworkers Local No. 111.

Surviving are his widow; four sisters, Mrs. Elwyn (Mable) Carey, of Columbus Junciton, Miss Margaret Barker of PHoenix, Arizona; Mrs. Leda Lamb and Mrs. Helen Ross of Davenport and a brother John Barker of Davenport.

He was preceded in death by a sister.
