ZELDA LEE, 28, TEACHER, DIES

Rites of Gilbert, Ia., Instructor to be Held at Morning Sun Tuesday

Morning Sun, Ia., Oct. 9 - Miss Zelda Pauline Lee, of Morning Sun, 28, has been teaching at Gilbert, died Saturday ay 9 a.m. in the hospital at Ames where she has been since Tuesday, Oct. 2 became ill at Gilbert Sept. 30.

She was born near Yarmouth, August 24, 1911, later moving with family to a farm near Morning Sun where her mother died June 24, 1935. She graduated from local high school, class of 1928, and later attended the State Teacher's College at Cedar Falls. She taught Mid-Prairie school near _____three years, taught schoolin Yarmouth three years, and was beginning her fouth year of teaching at Gilbert.

Surviving are her father; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Cummings of Winfield and Mrs. Ruth McElhinney of Morning Sun, and two brothers, Clifford Lee, Des Moines, and Everett Lee, Morning Sun; one niece, Betty Lee and one nephew, Keith Cummings. She was a member of the local Methodist church.

Funeral services will be held in the local Methodist church Tuesday at 2 p.m. preceded by short services at the home in Morning Sun at 1:30. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
