Anna Isebelle Wheeler Patterson Brown, age 90, of Wapello, Iowa, died Thursday afternoon, October 28, 2004, at the Great River Medical Center at West Burlington. The daughter of Andrew Jackson and Alice Nott Wheeler, she was born October 10, 1914 at Port Louisa. She married Neil Brown on August 8, 1942 at Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 8,1992.

Anna was a homemaker and had been a co-owner with her husband of Brown's Repair. Through the years she had worked at Nichol's Produce in Morning Sun, had cleaned churches, worked at Herman & Lu's Cafe in Wapello, and had done various domestic work for others.

She was of the Methodist faith and had been a Charter Member of River Fork Rovers and a member of the National Family Campers and RVers. Along with camping she enjoyed gardening, flowers, and plastic needlework. She loved her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia & Larry Wagg of Wapello and Kay & Kenneth Meyerholz of North Liberty; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; fifteen great-great grandchildren; and a special friend and neighbor, Edith Bryant of Wapello. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Neil; three sons, Raymond Patterson, Charles Patterson, and Bobbie Brown; six brothers; and three sisters.

The funeral ceremony for Anna Brown will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, November 1, 2004, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home at Wapello, with Rev. Harlan W. Winter officiating. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery at Morning Sun.

The family will meet with friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home.

A Memorial Fund has been established for the benefit of the Louisa County Homecaring, the University of Iowa Dialysis Center of Muscatine, and the Wapello Rescue Unit.
