Mrs. Claude Hammer of Grandview, very charmingly entertained the B.T.G. Club and other friends at her home Saturday evening at a prenuptial shower in honor of her sister, Miss Mabel Jarvis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Jarvis, who is soon to wed Mr. Glen Persinger of near Wapello.

Numerous games and life history formed a jolly pastime for the young ladies during the evening.

The house was prettily decorated with white and red chrysanthemums. Refreshments of sandwiches, salmon salad and hot coffee were served by Mrs. Fred Shew and Mrs. Gayl Jarvis.

Miss Jarvis is well and favorably known to a large circle of friends and was the recipient of many beautiful and useful gifts.

Those in attendance were: Misses Mabel Jarvis, Mattie McGill, Icy Beckey, Erma Schafer, Ivy Schafer, FAnnie Kuder, Orpha Graham, Myrtle Thompson, Bessie Cocklin, Anna Beik, Lucile Walker, Genevieve Dunphy, Vivian Holiday, Vera Krahl, Mollie Nelson, Ruth Nelson, Osee Anthony, Pearl Pantel, Helen Vibber, Faith Martin, Muriel Hammer, Marian Stineman, and Mmes. Oscar Hartsock, Gayl Jarvis, Fred Shew and Claude Hammer.
