Yesterday afternoon in the parsonage of the M.E. church at Burlington occurred the marriage of Miss Lucille Graham of this city, and Mr. Donald Parsons of Toolesboro. They planned to elude their many friends and keep the marriage secret and the couple took the early train to Burlington yesterday. At Oakville Miss Velma Courtney of this city, and Mr. Ward Vance joined them and were witnesses of the ceremony.

The bride is the youngest child of Mr. Dan Graham, a retired farmer of this city. She is a young lady of many graces and has a host of friends. She is a graduate of Wapello high school, class of '15.

The groom is the son of A.H. Parsons, a prominent farmer of near Toolesboro, and is a quiet young man of sober and industrious habits.

Their plans for the future are not entirely consummated, but they will make their home with the bride's father in this city for almost three months.

The Republican extends congratulations and best wishes.
