In answer to the charge that he was an arbitrary scholar, Fred Washington, whose finger was lacerated in a melee with his teacher, Jesse Tomlinson, at Grandveiw, this week, visited the Journal office today and presented documentary evidence relative to his deportment. Reports signed by his mother revealed that last year he was given a mark of C which is a grade of 80 to 90 per cent in school behavior.

He states that he is upheld by his parents in his objection to performing janitor service at the school building.
