Wedding Bells

Westport, Port Louisa Tp., Louisa Co., September 7, 1895

Married, by Rev. Ramige, Sept. 5th at 2 o'clock p.m., at the residence of Elias Michael, his daughter, Nellie to Henry Schafer, son of John Schafer, of Grandview, Iowa.

The bride was for a number of years connected with the Sabbath School as organist. She will be very much missed, but her many friends who were permitted to witness the ceremony extend earnest congratulations. All were invited to the infair dinner at the groom's home in Grandview. About sixty-five were present and all enjoyed themselves very much. The young couple start out well. They were generously and judiciously supplied with some of the necessaries of housekeeping. They will go to housekeeping on the Wm. Letts place. (A list of presents accompanied the above documtent but it is too long for publication. - Ed. JOURNAL.)
