Letts Record: At the M.E. parsonage in Letts on Saturday evening, August 10, 1912, at 8:15 o'clock occurred the marriage ceremony which plighted together the lives of Miss Elizabeth M. Hill and Mr. Emery D. Curtis. Rev. T. F. Barker officiating.

The bride is the eldest daughter of Mrs. C. Coolage, of 1219 Tremont Avenue, Davenport, Iowa, and the groom is the son of Mrs. T.S. Curtis of this city.

These young people are well known in Letts, having spent the greater part of their lives here and in joining their many friends in wishing them all that is good and happy and prosperous in the future of their married union, we wish to add that in the selection of a wife Mr. Curtis has chosen one for a life companion who is far ahead of the average young lady of today in the intelligence and understanding of those things essential which go toward making and personally conducting a home in the manner in which a home should be conducted, and therefore, such admirable accomplishments in a wife are helpful assets to her husband. The bride is a young lady of comely manners and the groom is a young man of good habits. Both have many warm friends here who wish them a long and pleasant married life. They expect to make their home in Letts.
