Cassie, the 14-year-old daughter of Silas Reed, was terribly burned Saturday morning at the farm of her father near Fruitland, when her dress was ignited by the explosion of an incubator lamp. Will Arihood, a cousin of the girl, who was staying at that place, ran to the girls rescue and in extinguishing the flames which threatened to fatally injure the young woman, he was painfully burned about the right arm and face. The girl's clothing was burned from the lower part of her body. Dr. E. B. Fulliam was called and dressed the two injured ones, and states that it is not likely that the burns will prove fatal.
