Hi Mary, Before you can start looking for death records you've got to determine where & when an individual may have been when the event occurred. Walter's 1918 draft reg.card suggests he was probably a commercial traveller in the insurance business so a Linn co. death is highly unlikely. In 1920 Walter is with his wife, son & father-in-law in Osawatomie, Miami co, Ks. Same place in 1930 wife Alcesta
Colvin is the married head of household listing son John and her father. Walter S. Colvin in 1930 is in Arkansas, Cowley co, Ks. with his own insurance office. Son John is also on the census as an occupant of the household. Good luck in your quest. Dick
