Father of Charles Ladue

LADUE AND LIBERTY

Charles Ladue was born in 1872 in Iowa and according to the 1880 census living in Center Point with his sister 45 year old Philemon Ladue and her Ladue children. The census also shows Philemon as widowed. She was previously married to Andrew Liberty from Peru, NY and her 19 year old son, Joseph Liberty is with her in 1880. Prior to moving to Iowa she apparently was widowed from Andrew and remarried (unknown) Ladue and moved to Linn County.

I am confused as the 1880 census shows Philemon apparently had two Ladue children older than Charles and one younger. How could she be his sister?

I am hoping to find her husband's name and hopefully his date of death.
